On my computer I have 7 USB ports.
The front 3 don't detect anything, or respond at all.
Out of the back 4, 3 work, and one detects devices, but with errors.
I've checked, everything seems to be plugged in properly. I reinstalled the drivers for the USB ports/controllers. Same issues.

What reasons are their for this? Its pretty annoying, and I have an external hardrive in the mail...but I have no place to plug it in.

Thanks.

Dont know if you have checked this or not, but make sure they are enabled in the BIOS... You have to do that on some boards. Some boards you have to specify the amount of USB ports you want to have enabled.

I checked, no such luck.
Thanks anyway. Any other ideas? :(

No errore in your divice manager? You could try to uninstall them and reboot to reinstall them.

I'm not sure of this, but maybe going to get your latest chipset drivers may help out your problem with the USB ports.

-Edit- I saw you reinstalled some drivers, but wasn't sure if you were referring to your chipset drivers.
