USB Mass Storage Autoplay

I have a CompactFlash/SD Card reader in my HP a282n pavilion computer. It came stock in the computer. It just recently stopped autoplaying when I insert my ScanDisc Card into the port. I can explore the card if I go through "My Computer" but I have lost the ability to autoplay them. I have the drivers installed that were on HP's website and the device says it is working fine. I have Windows XP Professional, if anyone could please help that would be great. I just want the prompt to come back that asked me what program I wanted to use.

O here.....In Xp PRO
go to my computer........
then find the drive you want to autoplay.....
right click on the drive...
go to properties....
At the top go to Autoplay......
above the ok cancel and apply buttons there should be a little box that says "prompt me each time to choose and action...."
MAKE sure that that is checked........
Thn hit apply.....and Ok...
