usb error !

i just bought the new 22" viewsonic lcd with ipod docking station and now when i connect the ipod to the dock .. the computer says it can not recognize the device .. while if i connect my ipod with the supplied cable it works fine .. plz help me regarding this ..

have installed all the needed drivers and even updated the bios !

Did the monitor come with a disc? Is there any cables on the monitor that have to be plugged into the PC? Have you updated your chipset drivers? What OS are you running?

ya have plugged all the cables .. and installed the necessary drivers .. the memory card reader and other slots are working fine .. its just tht the whenever i put the ipod on dock .. it says device not recognized .. !!

Sounds like the Dock is not compatable or broken as that it isnt giving the OS the information telling it that there is a iPod hooked up to it.
