USB Drive restarts my computer

Im having a weird problem with my computer, when I insert a USB drive into it it works fine (the first time) but if I pull it out and insert it again the computer reboots. It always does this, first time it works, second time it reboots. I've tried several brand names of USB Drives, I've tried every usb port on my computer including the front USB. I even tried unplugging my front USB and seeing if that was affecting anything, still the same problem. I have XP Pro SP2 /w all the latest updates. I have all my drivers installed and today I just upgraded my mobo bios. I'm running out of ideas here. USB drives are the only devices that do this, cameras or anything else doesnt reboot the PC.

My mobo is an Aopen AX4SPE-UN
P4 3.2ghz
1gig ram

Any help would be appriciated

does it do it if you plug the drives into an external usb hub? self powered, like the ones that have to have the "brick" that plugs into the wall.
