Default usb-C backup drive recommendations (2.5")

so I finally settles on getting a 2.5" external drive fro my backup drive after realizing that none of my external drives have failed for years.
but many of my internal 3.5 drives have failed consistently

can anyone recommend a drive that is usb-C not usb3 plug 4-5GB capacity?

and also are there enclosures with raid setup in one enclosure that connects with a single cable?

or at least what should I look for ?
I don't really know what specific specs would tell me if the drive is better for back up or not.

You only need 4-5GB worth of capacity?

Yes, a NAS. There are also way cheaper options that are essentially USB 3 HDD boxes but they use JBOD.
