USB/Boot Problem

Aloha chaps,

I recently gave my other half my previous machine. The problem is this - when the computer is switched on, it'll get to the Winfast screen where it'll give you options (BIOS, etc) or continue to boot Windows. However if there are any USB cables connected to the PC, it won't go past that screen at all (to carry on booting)

It's always done this but I would like to get it fixed. It's running Windows Vista but it also did it on XP as well.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Hello,

Have you checked for any BIOS updates and also to make sure that USB is lower on the boot list than the Optical Drive/Hard Drives? That would be the best place to start.
