I have a linux iso that i want to boot up on my windows xp machine, and i dont have a cd burner, so i decided i want to use a usb flash drive instead. after downloading an HP tool that supposedly makes the flash drive bootable, i run the program, restart my comptuer and change my bios to boot from the usb. there is a usb-fdd, usb-zip, and usb-cdrom option that i can set to first priority. i set all of them and after many tries, still no linux starting up. any one know how i can make my flash drive boot up with linux? My computer doesn't have a floppy drive, so any method using floppies is out of the question.

plug the USB flash drive when the computer is off, then start her up,
go to BIOS, turn off ur HD and set the usb as primary boot device, save n exit
