**urgent** Usb Not Working

last night my usb keyboard stopped working all of a sudden. i didn't know what was going on so i restarted my computer. now my mouse didn't work. this morning, none of my usb ports work. i'm using a usb-to-ps/2 adpter so my mouse will work, and i'm using windows' on-screen keyboard to type this. whenever i plug something like my mouse into a usb port, the red light for the sensor fickers for a little bit and then goes dead. i re-installed my motherboard drivers, but that didnt change anything.

HELP! THIS IS URGENT!!!

Update: sometimes my keyboard works, sometimes it doesnÂ’t. sometimes when I start my computer it will work, but as soon as I do anythng eg. dial onto the internet or open my cd-rom drve, all of my USB devices will just stop working.

Update on Switch's board:

His board died tonight, so he's going to contact newegg and RMA it. No additional help is necessary regarding this thread.
