Each time I boot, while in real mode, my PC starts doing chkdsk. I am trying to figure out how to have the computer not do this. It's time consuming to have to do the chkdsk procedure.

I went into BIOS and made the BIOS go to default settings, but this did not stop the automatic chkdsk.

Any help out there would gratefully be appreciated. Thanks

Forgot to say, I'm using Windows 7 on an Acer x1301 desktop. Hard drive is 150 GB, with a 4 GB ram. I have an external HD with 1 TB.

chkdsk is not set in BIOS. It is set in Windows. Is it scanning the C: drive? Might be a scheduler in there that got messed up.
