Uploading sig to techforums problem!

Every time i try uploading a sig (sum 1 on here is using the same sig and it is working for them!) it says it is too big, i tried shrinking it down in photoshop, but its still to big. Are sigs .JPEG only or can i use another file type so it will fit?
