I was having problems right from the start with my new computer. It would cut out with a blue hardware error and restart every now and again. I did a format at it seemed to work fine, the only problem I had was when I switched users the computer would restart when I went back to the origonal user.

It was a problem but could be lived with. The other night I came home and tried to boot up my computer. It loaded up and just after it flicked through the bios screens I recieved a blue error saying that there was an unmountable boot device. I dont know whats wrong.

I tried a format to solve the problem but im having trouble. The computer loades up the XP cd and formats... it then goes on to copy over the files to the xp intalation folder but I get constant errors saying that such and such a file could not be copied. The CD is legit and in almost perfect condition.

I have a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI
Some sort of Maxtor HD
AMD 64 3200+
512mb value ram

I would try a different hard drive.

could try going into recovery console and selecting the disk with the master boot record and type fixmbr
