Unknown Problem?

I left the room to get a drink, then when I came back in, my computer had restarted, but it was frozen at the windows loading screen. I turned the computer off, and it gave me the option to start in safe mode or to start windows normally. I've tried using both, but the computer freezes at the windows loading screen any time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

might be a virus, pull out ur HD and plug it in another system and run a virus scan
