Unknow Project ID!!! Bios Version ??? V1.10

The topic is what appears sometimes, instead of the standard bios message. The laptop is a toshiba M60-BK300E. I'm unsure of what cuases it and was hoping somebody had seen something similar before.

another problem i have with this computer is the touchpad. for awhile it worked sometimes and not others, then it would work when booted and cease shortly after...now it just doesn't work. i don't think this is related, but i can't be sure.

oh, and when it comes up like this it doesn't boot properly, it hangs there or goes to a screen with a flashing _ on the top left corner.

on occasion, the bios message is normal, and it boots fine.

broken bios chip? broken motherboard? virus?

i just don't know.
