I have a 500gb WD My Book Ext HD that I use to back up my machines. I plugged it in this morning and all but 1 file were missing. I checked the properties and it shows that the space that missing files is still allocated to those files.
I've tried to doing a scandisk and chkdsk, but i keep getting a message that the drive can not be locked because it is in use by another program. This message appears even when trying scandisk during reboot.
Any ideas?
