Unable to boot from optical drive

yeah sorry, if you press escape (or is it f8 on that board?) when you are in post, it should bring up a list of devises that you can boot from, if the cd-rom is in the list select it

btw i had that same exact board, and it seemed to be really picky about it's boot devises =\.....the lil boot menu seemed to be more effective than the bios settings though
 
OK, I got it working. Once I cleared the CMOS it would just boot up. well, duh! Clearing the CMOS also cleared the boot order stuff. it also cleared the "USB Keyboard" command. :facepalm: I dug out an old PS/2 keyboard and accessed my BIOS using it on boot.

Oh, and ESC is the key for the first boot menu. Thanks for that.

I also burned a fresh disk and verified it.

It is now working. Thanks for the brainstorming, people. ;)
