Default Two computers into one!

I am parting my old systems and taking the good stuff from it and putting it in my new system. The old hd is an 80ggig that i just bought a year ago and it has windows xp on it. can i just put it in the new system and set it as a slave or do i have to take windows off of it so it won't try to boot?
Anything helps.

You can put it in as a slave, you shouldn't have a problem.

bust it on as a slave and there will be no problems. then i would move off the data, reformat and move the data back for more drive space. You do not need to do this but why waste space for an old install of xp.
