After i got some viruses from installing Creative Lab's driver long ago, i really thought that my HDD was infected n had bad sectors. I sent in my HDD as Seagate accepted my exchange. I just got it back today n the problem still exists!

this shows up........again...... right now:

http://www.techist.com/forums/f9/cant-reinstall-os-error-showing-up-169494/

"Windows installation encountered an unexpected error......"

File: PCIIDEX.SYS

Status: OxcOOOO221

Info: Windows failed to load because a required file is missing, or corrupt.

this is what showed up when i xfered or has success on reinstalling Vista on my old HDD:

http://www.techist.com/forums/f9/all-svchost-exes-etc-say-not-available-system-info-wtf-175833/

so anyway, i havent gotten around to successfully installing Vista again, that error keeps on showing up. Is it the mobo? I'm pretty sure, not my HDD after all! I'm gonna check for a warranty since i did register the mobo. I've turned off the On-Chip SATA controller, switched to IDE, RAID, AHIAC *forgot how to spell it :p*, putting in the setup disc when the computer is booting, reseting, everything!

ill be sure to update if i find something new.

EDIT:

been through Microsoft tech support, they have my case as unresolved btw! I will try MSI Customer Support tomorrow evening!

Have you tried to leave only the HDD, RAM, Video Card and the mobo and see what happens?
