I got 2 crap computers i need to set up on our CNC line. They both came with Vista so I installed XP on a separate partition.
I found everything I need except the onboard LAN drivers. These can sometimes be bundled with the chipset drivers themselves but I can't find that either.
The PC's are Acer Aspire AM1201-E1620B.
From a little googling the chipset is AMD's 740G.
I can't give you a mobo model number as it's not printed anywhere visible on the mobo. The only thing that isn't standard is the word "Bengal". But that has also been a dead end for me.
Now I would think that I could go to AMD or Acer and DL the drivers, however, this has failed miserably. If you get to here:
AMD Chipset Drivers those don't work. The driver pack even just says "no AMD products detected".
Or here
AMD 740G Chipset there are no drivers.
Or even here
ATI Driver List It's only for the video.
2+ hours of googling have resulted in drivers for every other motherboard in existence. Any help at all would be appreciated.
