Default Troubleshooting bottleneck

I5-3570 @ 3.40ghz lga 1155 w/Corsair H40 Liquid Cooling
gtx 980 4gb 256-bit
8GB ddr3 1600
1TB sata III

I'm trying to record h1z1 gameplay with dxtory and the software is struggling to record >50fps.. i just upgraded from a gtx 670 and i'm running nearly the same framerate for recording so i believe the bottleneck to be either the processor or the game itself (because its in alpha and its poorly optimized)

Default Re: Troubleshooting bottleneck

First off what are you using to record, I know a lot of the programs that record are capped at 30fps, Not sure about the Nvidia shadow play but also a lot of programs like Fraps that record are serious resource hogs but shadow play has very little impact. Nothing in your system should be bottle necking the rest, I've seen much lesser CPU's keep up no problem with games.

Default Re: Troubleshooting bottleneck

In the settings make sure you're using NVC or try using OBS to record.
