Troubles with graphics cards, lag in games.

Hello, I'm new here and I am having lots of trouble with playing games on my computer. Most games that I try to play that were made recently, lag a ton. Even when I set my graphic settings to the lowest possible I still get immense lagging issues in games. Recently I purchased Sniper Ghost Warrior, and even when my settings are on all low levels, it lags so bad I cant even play it. I'm not sure if its something im doing, or that my hardware just sucks.

Ive got 2 gigs of RAM, Running on an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz, and have an NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT graphics card.

Its your graphics card, it lacks the power to run the latest games. I had an 8600gt and upgraded simiply because it could no handle games like BFBC2 and Sniper Ghost Warrior. Save up for a new card, May i suggest the HD5770 or if you have a bit more cash, HD5870. You will have no problems with those 2 cards.

You'll need to watch, as the gpu is a power gulper, so you may need to update the psu.
