Trouble with Intel Audio Studio/945GNT

I recently purchased Intel motherboard with D945GNT and PentiumD 3.0.
Since then I am having problems with my speakers and microphone. It used to be the simplest task before this new board but now it makes me feel like complete fool. After searching for solution on the web and downloading new driver for sound system (5.10.5067_XP32_XP64_MCE_2K_IAS.EXE) I am having problem with front input of mic and speaker. Intel Audio Studio just does not detect any input in front panels of mic. and speaker. Before new drivers there were two inputs shown in the mixer/recording panel, now there is only one. Any help please?

So you say you got a new mainboard. Did you just move your old HD over to the newmainboard ?

Thanks for the reply . Errrr Yes. I used old hard drive without formatting it. But I did fresh installation of windows XP. Could this be a cause of problem?
