Hey everyone,
First off, this computer of mine (home built) has been nothing but trouble lately. i reformatted the harddrive, then the memory went bad. I fixed the memory issue, then the computer kept restarting while it was booting up. so, I've installed a new Maxtor 60GB SATA harddrive. Now, even though the BIOS AND Ultimate Boot CD (which btw is very cool) recognize the hard drive, trying to install XP pro fails to recognize the hard disk at all. I have a CD-RW drive on one IDE channel (set to master) and a DVD player on the other IDE channel (also set to master). I can't reformat the drive and I can't repair the drive, and I can't install windows because the hard drive isn't recognized during the installation process. Does anyone have any clue as to what's going on?

It's an SATA maxtor, you gotta get the drivers for that thing. Put them on a floppy, my drivers were on the motherboard cd. During XP setup press F8 to install external drivers when it asks for it.
