Trouble with graphics adapter drivers

I recently upgraded my Asus K55A laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Professional. None of the drivers carried over so I had to download a bunch of them. When I try to reinstall the driver for my Intel HD 3000 integrated chip though, the computer gets stalled at startup and asks if I want to run Startup Repair or try to start Windows anyway. If I try to start anyway, I get a BSOD with the error code "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". What could the problem be?

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
2nd-gen Intel HD 3000 chip
Intel Core-i5 (if that helps)

Oh, also, I've tried downloading from the Asus website, Intel's website, and updating through device manager. All encounter the same problem.

We need the stop code. (0x0000##) The irql can be many things.

Any reason why you needed pro? Here's the difference between HP and Pro. Compare Windows - Microsoft Windows

Unless this is for a business, there is little you need.

I got it fixed. It was because I didn't have SP1 installed. I installed it and haven't had any problems.

I needed Pro for school. They want us to have it for future courses.
