i got toshiba laptop which has
80 Gb HDD capacity,
out of which 7 GB is compressed by toshiba to load OS and drivers,
thus actual available space is 72 GB
PROBLEM: i created C drive of 15 GB. recently i formated C drive and reinstalled OS with drivers. i dont know how come it comsumes 12-13 GB of 15 GB total allocated to C drive. I checked everything properly and i found twice after fresh installation of normal OS Win XP Pro.
My question is does a mormal OS requires this much of space? one more thing i didnt install any other application. I want more disk space on C drive. i know on my normal desltop it doesnt happen, it doesnt comsum this much of space.
i need solution for this. how to reduce disk space on C drive. how to overcome through this problem. it's not poissible. i know a C driive with normal OS and drivers hardly consums 3 GB space at the most.
please do provide solution for this proble. anyone who has a solution please mail me over alexis.w9@gmail.com

Just create another drive, and here's how it is done:

1. Right click on My Computer (either in Start Menu or on the Desktop)
2. Click Manage
3. Go to Disk Management (Under Storage)
4. In the Empty Space, right click and add a drive using a part of this free space (forgot how exactly, but figure it out)
