Hey everyone,

Heres my problem:

I pulled out my CMOS battery for 10-15 seconds to reset BIOS.

After I put it back in, my NVIDIA Quadro4 900 XGL won't work (it did before i pulled the battery out). The computer starts fine, but I get no display. I also noticed that the fan on the card doesn't spin when the computer is on.

I tried swapping the gfx card with a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440, and it worked just fine.

Could the BIOS reset screwed up my gfx card?

Hope someone can help! This is to expensive to replace :p

Thanks!

i was referring to the specs list...
well nvm, lets begin by going into the bios and see if the video card slot shows up

I just brought the card over to my other comp, and it worked fine.

I can't check BIOS or update drivers without a gfx card, since my mobo has no monitor input. (It's a Dell Workstation)

I figure one of two things happened.

one, the bios is trying to use onboard graphics instead of the card. You need to hook your monitor up to the onboard and set the BIOS to use the card again,

Two, you dislodged the card when you removed the battery. Try reseating the card in the slot.

Drivers shouldn't be the issue if another card works in the comp.

Try using the Quadro4 card in a different computer. Make sure it isn't a case of card failure to begin with.
