TFT Monitor is all fuzzy

I got it for Christmas, when it isn't in it's native resolution the picture is fuzzy, so is the text. This is no problem on the desktop but in games my card (9800XT) can't cope with the high resolution. My brother has an nVidia card which is about as powerful as mine (6600GT). His monitor isn't really fuzzy like mine when not in its native resolution. Is there anyway of making my screen not so fuzzy? Is it ATI? Or my monitor?

Graphics Card: ATI RADEON 9800XT

TFTs are made to run in their native resolution. They are also made to run at a refresh rate of 60MHz.

There is something that may help you out, as far as text goes. It's called ClearType, and here's a link:
