I am thinking about buying a lot of 15 SCSI hard drives but I don't know how I can test them. The seller is local and of course says they are just fine but I would like to test them out if possible. I could probably use a Poweredge 2600 to test them. Does anyone have any ideas how to easily and quickly test drives like this? I would have to bring my own equipment most likely.
If I use the poweredge is anyone familiar with a diagnostics CD that I can boot to in order to test the drives so I don't have to install the OS and run diags online?
Or, does anyone have any suggestions on how to secure payment while I test them at home, like getting the bank to hold th emoeny or something I don't know. I though about asking him to set up a Ebay auction and I could pay through PayPal that way if I had a problem I would have some recourse.
