system recovery
ok i think i downloaded a vrius because everytime i try and boot it gets to the windows xp boot screen and restarts.
im not overheating and i put the bios to default and this still occurs.
so my question is how do you use system recover so that i can fix it without having to reformat?

i looked at that but i cant use any software because i cant even get to the windows gui interface it reboots right at the bootscreen so i need to know how i can do it in dos

i really need help i have alot of htings on there i need for school/work
and also sorry now that i think about ti this is in the wrong thread maybe a mod can fix this, because it isnt a hardware problem but softerware

ok i used my windows xp disk to get into the command prompt and i used "fixmbr" and "fixboot"
now it say ntldr is missing
ive been looking thta up on google but cant seem to find a way to fix it

im trying to og by that but when i type in "1" it say command not valid or whatnot
