instead of updating bios through flash menu in windows, should i next time save to floppy and do it from boot up.

The bootable flash is recommended. Hopefully this install will help a little.

When you reset the CMOS via the jumpers did you notice your bios vers. change during bootup ? I am wondering if your bios is stuck in a "purgatory" if you will.

no i didnt notice. ok i tried to reformat and after reformating i tried to install windows but it wont copy alot of the files now.
