D dra011 Beta member Messages 5 Aug 18, 2009 #1 I just bought at HP dx5150 and when it is off it makes a very high pitch high frequency noise when the power supply is on 115v. When I switch it to 230v it doesn't make any noise. I'm in the US, is it bad if I leave it on 230 volts?
