Hi guys, just wanted to ask a couple questions maybe you can help me out, and thanks in advance!
Well, I have an older model, a Core 2 Quad system with an Nvidia GTX 470 and a Silverstone Zeus ST85ZF system...
Well, my system was switched on and after a while I left it and returned to it some 2 hrs later...The computer had gone on standby, and as usual when I pressed Enter, itt came to the User selection window, I selected mine and it started loading it up...after it got loaded, the system immediately switched off...there were some 3 or 4 seconds lag time, and the system tried to restart...however, the Zeus PSU starts making clicking noises and its Back LED, is flashing from RED to Green and back again... Any idea what may have caused this ??
I was reading in its manual under the troubleshoot section that the PSU does have some kind of internal safety mechanism that will put the PSU on standby...but if you switch it off and leave it for 10 seconds, it will reset itself and come out of this protection mode...could it beit's still not managing to do this ?? I replaced with another VGA, disconnected all peripherals (HDD, DVD-RW etc), but it's still doing the same...even using new power cables to the wall sockets in case they were bent or something..
You think it's busted for good...or is there anything else I can try ??
Thanks in advance, and sorry for occupying your time..
Cheers
