Hi,
My PC has for a while been making a short brief 'click' noise at random times when it is running. It is the same 'click' that is heard when it first booted up. I am wondering if the hard drive is on it's way out or maybe the fan needs replacing. The noise is not continous and happens maybe a few times a week.
I bought the comp back in 2002 and the specs aren't so happy either:
HP Pavilion 7925
Windows XP Home Edition SP2
AMD Athlon 'Thunderbird' 1,200 MHz
640MB RAM
GeForce 6200 256MB
Everything else seems to be fine, apart from the power loss upon reboot a couple of weeks ago. However the fan did once cause the power to go temporarily when it got jammed but it got fixed.
I don't know if buying new HD and a new OS would be more worthwhile
Maybe it's time to replace her altogether?
