Default Strange beep during startup

I have a Inspiron 600m notebook.
Every time i restart my system i hear a beeping sound.
Does anyone know what might be a problem??

Anyhelp in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

If it's a short quike beep that meens your system boot up was succesful it means your computer startup was healthy.

I never used to hear any beep before.
This is the first time i am hearing something like this.
Its a beep that lasts foe atleast 5 secs.

Try a different keyboard you may have a key stuck. Does it do it on a warm boot (restart) too?

I tried to use a different keyboard. It still has the same problem.
Its not turning hot ..

On my desktop when I get long beeps means ram problem. Find out who makes the bios and look up in google what the beep sequence means.

When I got long beeps it was too do with my CPU fan not starting up so the BIOS would beep but then the fan kicked in and it then stopped.

We need the bios manufacturers name: Phoenix, Award ect. YOu will be told the name of the bios at POST.
