static on my subwoofer speaker system

i have a nexxtech subwoofer speaker system and i have too much static on this, i ever pick up radio stations on it. how to i resolve this problem

get it away from any other electronics...like if it's next to your computer case...or your moniter...or the power cables leading to them.
