startup troubles

I am having a problem starting my computer. Maybe one time out of fifty, when I start up my pc, it just does not go on. The fans roar, but there is no picture or any lights on the front of the case, exept for the power light. Everything turns on; the hard drive spins up and everything, but it is not accessed. I've restarted it for an hour in the past, but it keeps doing that same thing. When I go to turn it on again the next day, it starts right up. Can anyone help?
My system:
P4 530 3.0ghz
512 megs of pc3200 ram
nvidia pci express gfx card (128 megs)
160 gig sata hdd
dvd burner
cdrom drive
onboard sound

try moving your ram to a differnt dimm socket
