Sound trouble

I gave my friend my old computer. Its running XP home. It was working perfectly when i gave it to him, but hes set it up at his house and cant get the sound to work. I guess the computers saying that it cant find a soundcard, but the soundcard was always integrated in the motherboard. under device manager, it has nothing. i dunno what else to tell him.

Try installing the drivers for the sound card. I'm taking a lucky guess that you have REALtek integrated sound. Most mobos have that. But you need to findx the specs of your mobo, find out exactly what audio driver you will need and download it. That should fix the problem.

Yes, I'd try that first...otherwise, he's gonna have to buy a Sound Card...integrated sound break easily. Post back with results so it can help others,ok?
