i have n Abit nForce 2 Ultra mobo which uses the nForce2 MCP-T chipset, 6-Channel AC 97 CODEC
im not sure why my sound quit working but after a MS update upon reboot it quit working. i didnt even see what MS dled or installed and didnt know it had till i shut down when it started installing em
anyways, in device mgr it says its working properly. speakers have power, are turned up high enough, volume is maxed in control panel, volume is turned up in nVidia mixer, ive tried the ports on the back and on the top as well as my headphones on top and back. nothing is muted
i tried rolling back with a system restore to no avail. i reinstalled the drivers. anyone got any ideas, im fresh out
