hi, ive recently purchased a computer, i havnt recieved it yet but when i do its going to be hooked up to my tv.

but ive heard to get sound on your tv, u need a cable that go's frmo your motherboards sound, to the g-card so that sound can be played through the telly, was just wondering if someone could clear this up for me and possibly tell me what the cable is called?

my mother board = Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R X58 2 Way Crossfire/SLI DDR3
my g-card = ATI Radeon HD 4870 PCI-E x16 1GB DDR5

thank you in advance for any help, i just wanna make sure i have all the bits i need before comp arrives.

You card allows for hdmi audio pass through.

You need to use the adapter that will come with your card. Have the latest drivers installed and make sure you set up hdmi audio up as the default playback device.
