Default Sound issue...

My computer has lost sound, it was working fine a couple of days ago and now it is gone. I checked the audio devices and it says their is no audio or video devices which is not true because I do have an radeon HD2600 pro that has audio and an asus P4P800-E that has onboard audio. Could it be a driver issue? I don't know where the CD's are that came with my mobo and the asus website dosnt have anything for my mobo only the P4P800-E deluxe. Any suggestions?

Is this a prebuilt machine? Like from Dell or something? Check their website for the drivers. This is a driver issue. IF it is not in the device manager then it can not work.

If you can't find the drivers for that particular model, try using the drivers for the p4p800 model and the p4p800-e deluxe model. One of them must be using the same audio as yours.
