Sound Device missing

i've just re-install xp on my fren pc ..
all are werking fine .. but then the sound device is missing ..
how do i solved this matter ? thx in advance ..

sorry for double posting ..

just to inform that my fren pc does not have sound card ..
it's built-in .. ( intel high definition audio, Dolby 7.1 surround sound ready )

then go to intels website, search for their motherboard, then download the driver for the built audio, then just run the download file. pretty simple.

if you have the motherboard CD, or the OEM CD that usually ships with the pc the driver will be on either one of those as well.
