Hi I have a Sony Vaio PCG-FRV26 with a LCD problem. When I start it the screen is on for about 2 seconds, with a red tint to it. Then it will turn off. The boot cycle continues. If I close it and then open it, it will again turn on but only for a second. When I plug in a second monitor it will show the desktop with no problems. I think the wires could be messed up because if the hinge. But before I open it up I wanted to get someone elses opinion.

PS I looked at prices for a replacement LCD and they were all over 400!!! Does anyine one know where I can get one cheaper?
