Default Socket 775 mb/cpu/ps failures

I've had 6 intel socket 775 computers 2 hp, 3 dells, and 1 compaq come in to my shop, all w/blown power supplies and motherboards in the past 6 months. anyone else seeing this? All have -5v blown on power supply. All within the last 6 months. Anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

I didn't build them, lol, and they come in with a solid amber light, won't boot with fans running just DEAD. the first one i assumed just the power supply was dead after testing it, installed a new one and it was blown instantly when I hit the power switch, again -5 volts gone

Are they all the same motherboards even thou different manufactures are listed? Are there any recalls or issues reported with those types of motherboards?

yes, what mobo are they using?

this is a prime example as to why you do not buy a pre built
