Default so my 9800gtx is not all that

well i just got a bfg 9800gtx, upgraded if you so call it from a 9600gt. and I still cant play some games on high

such as
umm crysis
i has 1600 resoulution and when i put everything highest settings i only get 10-20fps

what the **** my 9600gt did ther same

I am stuck playing crysis on the same setting *** my 9600gt could there be a problem

I mean this card is massivce and should be able to perform better than this

hmm, on highest DX10 at 1680x1050 with cpu and gpu overclocked i average around 20-30 FPS.

it could be your cpu is bottelnecking it.

so my cpu is the weak part of my system

its dx9 by the way xp

cpu is at 3.2 ghz though

what you got ur settings on

cpu overclocked to 3.75GHZ (500MHZ FSB) and ram at 1250mhz.

card overclocked to core 825mhz mem 1225 and shaders 2500mhz.

runnning crysis at highest settigs, no AA. 16X AF at 1680x1050. average about 20-30FPS

so you think its my processor, well what amd cpu will be good and match up with this video card

well it's probly not bottlenecking it as much as i think, but it's not helping out that card any. my q9300 helps out my card out alot.

that's why i killed my friends 4850 in 3dmark06. he has a phenom 9850.

get a phenom II and there will be no bottleneck. and it will be on par with my q9300.

all very high with 2xAA i get about 15-25ish FPS. So that sounds about right for you. crysis is very playable and great looking at like 15 fps so i wouldn't worry about it.


and yea, the CPU might be the bottle neck, what cpu do you have?

he has a: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+(BLACK) @ 3255 MHz

and i dont think any game under 20FPS is playable.

15fps
bro thats not playable, i can only play on 25fps or more, and have to avergae at least 30

im getting probally slightly more than 15 to 20 average but 10fps minimun

^ i know. i was saying any thing UNDER 20FPS is unplayable.

it is slightly strange that you are getting crappy frame rates compared to mine.

what clocks is the card running at.
