Default Slow Defrag on WD 250gig

I got a new 250gig Western Digital External hard Drive. However even using Diskkeeper (and on quick scan) The scan can take several hours. The strange thing is tho is that ive only used about 40gigs. It is in Fat 32 format and it is DMA enabled. It also has a 32kb Cluster Size.

Any Suggestions?

Default

defragmenting FAT32 drives larger than 127GiB (137GB) is not very effective, and defragging FAT32 drives in general is slow. aside from the filesystem large hdd's always take quite a while to defrag especially if you don't defrag often, it also depends on your pc's specs
