Default Slow 3d Performance

Hi, I have a system with the following specs:

Intel Pentium D 2.66Ghz CPU
1GB RAM
PNY Nvidia GeForce 7600GS (256MB)

Which I think should be more than enough to run a game like Battlefield 2 smoothly, but it's still all choppy. I'm getting maybe 10fps on the medium graphics setting, that doesn't seem right. All of this hardware is brand new, and I've even tried switching the power supply, but nothing has worked. Any ideas on what might be causing the slow performance?

Thanks.

You will need to reduce settings to 800/600 and disable AL/AA. That card is under powered to be run on high settings.
