SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

Hello

The hardware (the title name) keeps on having problems i.e. I have to, everytime I turn the computer on, uninstall and install the CODEC. Obviously I have to do this for the sound to work. And also its becoming a pain.

I was wondering what your diagnosis is on this?

I do have the latest drivers, so I know it cant be that.

unistall/reinstall? I doubt this is needed...but the easies solution you came up with

what is your os...
what else do you have installed on this computer...
could be a resources conflict...

I would uninstall all your hardware...all pci devices, all usb, all everything...

turn off pc....

turn on...go into bios...check settings (if you are familiar)...adjust if needed, exit/safe...restart

latest drivers...what drivers are those? ALL hardware latest drivers or just audio? Get the mobo chipset drivers. Maybe also need a bios update for it
