Hi All:
I just built a new computer and all was fine until it started to shut down randomly. It ran about a month straight (I never turn it off as it is at the office) and then made a high pitched squealing noise for about 2 seconds and died. It boots back up just fine and will run maybe another day or two and then shut down again.
The squealing is leading me to think it might be a bad capacitor somewhere.
The system is an Intel i7 on an Asus motherboard with 8 GB OCZ ram running Windows 7 Professional.
Any help would be appreciated before I start ripping out and changing parts that may be perfectly fine.
