Question: In my BIOS I was given two install options under SATA 2, both IDE and SATA. The default was IDE. I set it to SATA and it didn't boot (I needed to make a SATA boot disk) , but I swapped to IDE and it booted and I installed the OS. So I'm wondering, can I do anything to fix this now inside the OS and switching the BIOS back to SATA operation mode, or is it time to make a SATA boot disk and reinstall my OS?
On a side note, since I'm operating my SATA 2 in IDE mode, what type of speed increase would there be to be in SATA 2 mode? I'm not all that familiar with SATA, but I like the smaller cable that doesn't obstruct air flow hehe
