serious problems with waol.exe...HELP PLS

i know this is a hardware forum, but i seriously need help with this, for the past few week's , every time i sign out of aol 9.0 security edition, waol.exe hangs up, my computer starts ta bog down, i check my running process' and it has my cpu spiked and stuck at 100% usage, i have pc alert running at all times , ill look down at my cpu temp, and while all this is happening, my temp will be climbing one degree at a time....this is a becoming a serious headache for me, i would app. some help pls. i have done allot of research on this, there seem's to be allot of problems with waol.exe, but not my particular problem.

amd 3200+,msi board, 512 mb.....geforce 7300 graphics.160 gig drive,2009 mhz, 200 fsb proc........windows xp sp 2....with america online security edition,,,,,,frigging dial up, i need ta step into 2000!!!!!!!!!
