SD drive not working. Please Help

Hi, when i try to put my sd card out of my camera into the sd ms/pro mmc sm drive, nothing happens. the computer dosnt even recognize anything is even there. this is the first time i've tried to use it. i have a hp pavillion zx5000 notebook and im running windows xp. if anyone could help i would really appreciate it.

Right click on my computer -> Properties -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager. In the device manager check for any devices that either say unknown storage device, unknown media device and also check if the SD reader has a yellow exclamation beside it. If there is you can go here and download the driver for it.

when i went to device manager, the only thing i see with an exclamation mark is "other devices" and it clicks down to "base system device"

Which update do i download?

Have you check Windows Update for any updates? Have you got the latest chipset drivers for you mother board?

Yeah so like Mak said the next thing to do is get the chipset drivers from the site I posted earlier.
